Who is Anis Khairkhwa?

Anis Khairkhwa is a Broker with eXp Realty of Canada Inc., registered with the Real Estate Council of Ontario since 2018. She serves the Greater Toronto Area with a York Region focus — Richmond Hill, Aurora, Vaughan, Markham, Newmarket, and East Gwillimbury — alongside Toronto, Peel, Durham, and Halton. Her practice centres on three kinds of moves: first-time buyers stepping out of renting, families selling one home to move up to the next, and long-time homeowners downsizing after decades in the same place. What ties them together is her approach — a designer's eye for what a home can become, and the patience to explain every step of the process in plain language, in English or in Dari.

What is Anis's story?

Anis came to Canada from Afghanistan in 2000 and built her life here from the ground up — first in retail, then running a grocery store, then years as an administrator in a family doctor's office, caring for patients and their families. When she bought her own first home in Canada, she discovered the thing that would become her profession: staging and design, the craft of seeing what a space could become. That discovery, combined with the people-work she had always loved, led her to real estate. She has been a RECO-registered Broker since 2018.

That path shapes how she works. She knows firsthand what it takes to build a home and a life from nothing, and she learned to care for people long before she ever sold a house. A move, in her view, is a chapter of someone's life — and she treats it that way.

How does Anis work with clients?

Three commitments define the experience. First, education before decisions: every term, condition, and cost is explained before you're asked to commit to anything, and no question is too small. Second, preparation before the market: when you sell, your home gets a room-by-room staging and preparation plan built with a designer's eye, before the first photograph is taken.
